Beach Bodied Hairstyles with Matthew Wade
Hair by Matthew Wade
When it comes to summer hair, the best styles require minimum effort, defy humidity and have a beachy golden glow.
Hairstylist Matthew Wade has offered us his advice on creating a natural summer look without having to go to the salon.
If you are a natural dark blonde and you want to lighten in a natural way, apply either lemon or lime juice which will help attract the sun and therefore give you free highlights!
Those of you who have mid to long length hair can try getting really long layers cut into your style, graduating at the front to help get a beachy surfy look. When you tie your hair up after your day in the sun, these layers will not only frame your face, they will also compliment your sunkissed skin.

Depending your vanity levels on the beach, people with straight mid to long length hair can try twisting damp sections of hair and clipping into place to achieve a relaxed wavy look.
Do you have a block coloured tint? If so, wear a hat! There is nothing worse for this style than harsh sunlight. To avoid losing the colour keep those locks hidden!
When moving from beach to bar, why not try a deep side parting plait tucked behind the ear. You can mix this up by only half plaiting the hair and keeping the remaining hair in a ponytail for a very on trend summer look.

If you can't make it into the sunshine this year, give a half head of tinted highlights a go. Your friends will be asking where you have been...
If you are low maintenance and like to have a more clean cut look, keep your hair in a gamine crop for the easiest to handle style. This style works in any colour.
Luckily, the seaside makes almost everyones hair more voluminous and wavy. So pack your bags now!
Summer Fashion tips with Sairey Stemp
Styling by Sairey Stemp
The summer is most definitely here. At last. So whether you're staying at home or jetting overseas, make sure you have the right clothes with you by following Sairey Stemp's summer style advice....
Packing for holidays can be fun, but also daunting. You really only need a few key pieces to keep you looking cool and collected in the sunshine. My essentials would be:
A great summer dress, plus a sexy but cool maxi dress for the evening and strappy flat metallic sandals you can wear out in the evening and during the day.
Dip dye denim frayed shorts and plain coloured vest tops to mix and match.
A couple of bright bikinis with thin straps to minimise strange tan lines.
Big shades and a big cotton bag to schlep your beach towel, book, I-pod, water etc around in.
You don't really need an awful lot more. We always take more than we need, certainly for me I pack plenty of underwear plus more just in case.

For beach to bar outfits, think short and sassy. Hotpants & bikini tops with lots of jewellery piled on for the evening. Slide on a denim mini over a cut-away swimsuit and some platform wedges to hit the clubs. The beauty is mixing and matching your daytime swimwear and adding a few key accessories and cover ups before hitting the bar. Go for accessories in one key colour or tone so you can play around with them – gold is ideal and looks great with a tan (gold sunnies, gold sandals, gold bangles & jewellery). You don't need to take a lot, just mix things around and be creative.

For great holiday looks on a budget, think of your favourite staples. I'd start with a great pair of shorts or hotpants, some great swimwear – bring something sexy that makes you feel good! Plus a little short jacket for the evening and a pair of supersonic shades.
Styling by Sairey Stemp
Don't forget, you spend most of your day round the pool or on the beach so pick a swimsuit or bikini that is dynamite. It's worth spending time before you go away to pick something that fits right and you feel comfortable in. Then all you have to do is slap on the sunscreen and add shades.
