Lightning A great lightning storm passed over the town last night by Andy Stones https://flic.kr/p/2jrX5iN
We all know record label representatives can be brutal, but what our next band experienced left us speechless. âWe played a battle of the bands a while back here in our hometown of Colorado Springs,â Image Of told us. âWe did so well that this big wig from a major metal label (that will remain nameless) came to us and gave us this extraordinary amount of praise, to the point that he even skipped the band after us (which he was supposed to be judging.â That all seems great right? If only the story ended there⊠âWe got all this great feedback which climaxed when he said there was ânothing to possibly critiqueâ about their music.â But even after telling them that he ended with a real killer by saying, âThe reason youâll never get on a label is because your singer needs to lose weight.â Iâve heard plenty of low blows in my day but damn thatâs gotta hurt!  Luckily, Image Of took the positive from that conversation and hasnât looked back. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO their track on our âRiot In The Sceneâ compilation They dropped their first EP â âNomadsâ â this past July and it can be found on Bandcamp, Amazon, Google, CD Baby, and iTunes. Image Of has played with bands like Project 86, Seasons After, Flaw, Silent Planet, Romantic Rebel, Stitched Up Heart, Texas Hippie Coalition, and a handful of others; quite an impressive resume. When it comes to preference, Image Of prefers shows, telling us, âWhen you have that consolidated energy all waiting for that one band, it sure brings a more intimate experience; a synergy if you will.â The band has never had the chance to play at a festival but would welcome the opportunity saying, âI think any major fest would be an epic experience.â When asked if any one show sticks out in memory the guys look back to the previously mentioned battle of the bands. âIt was at the Black Sheep in Colorado Springs,â they said, âIt was the only sold out show weâve played.  That crowd was amazing⊠When we took the stage we lit that place up; people werenât ready for it. It was probably our most energetic show â that crowd was amazing and they simply embraced us.â Could you really ask for much more than that? Make sure to check these guys out because theyâre primed to make it big soon! written by: Seth DallaireÂ
