First of all Haiii Dee OMFGGG SALLYS STORY!!! Maisie returns mayhaps?? Anyways, I'm happy that we finally (maybe) have a nighttime exclusive puppet of some sort :-) Also, her story reminded me of the You're Outside. Good Night. image!! Maybe Wally believed that story too much? Or perhaps he IS the puppet in the story! Or maybe he knows the story is true and is trying to protect everyone :-0 The Halloween costume was oddly disturbing, I imagined dozens of kids all wearing that. Kind of like cult attire if that makes sense

SALLY'S STORY... i would say i'm surprised that so many people seem to have taken it so literally, but i'll admit the thought of "i wonder if she's trying to pass off something she actually did experience as a campy halloween story just to seem less suspicious" did cross my mind at one point. i still think it's more likely that it's a misdirect or a matter of being unknowingly correct about something than anything else, though.

it's probably too early to declare this the introduction of maisie (again, if she's even still around) or another new character; the only exception i can think of would be if the narrator reappears in future updates. HOWEVER if that does end up being the case, then i really Really like the idea that they popped into existence because wally was like "oh, shit, scary thing from the woods that eats neighbors, okay. there's no way someone would just lie about that, lol. i wonder what it looks like...."

also, full disclosure: i did get an ask that was like "omg sammy lawrence expy real???" regarding the wally costume, but i deleted in a panic because it reminded me of this experience i had shortly after welcome home first blew up:

[logs into ponytown] [sees a wally pony] wally pony, trying to explain welcome home to someone else: in basic terms it's like a copy of bendy and the ink machine, but like- [logs out of ponytown]

and then i never logged back in again because i feared that if i ever saw that wally pony again i would not be able to stop myself from hitting them with the full force of my Nerd Rage.
