the two were cuddled up in bed after a long date that lasted pretty much all day. sometimes imani wondered how the two winded up together, but they were dating now and it wasn't often that imani had felt this way, let alone for someone so different than her. but she was certain of her feelings and didn't care if she could potentially get her heart broken. turning over now after a moment of spooning, one arm draped over raleigh's shoulder as she laid on her side to face him, just inches away from his own face. "i had a really nice day today, baby.." she mumbled with a genuine but subtle smile on her face, only to pull him closer for their lips to meet. after a moment, she pulled away, lips still barely brushed against his. she knew exactly what she wanted to say, but was it too early? would he even say it back? she couldn't care less, though, and wanted to express what she had been feeling lately. "you just always know exactly how to make my days better, it's like you're reading my mind or something." she trailed off before finally just saying it. "i... love you, raleigh." / @serxndipities

"i can't help being so antsy, raleigh.." imani began, pacing a bit before the two made their grand entrance into the party. they had been to a couple of imani's family's gatherings at this point, but not so much on raleigh's side. she wanted to make sure she was making a lasting impression, and was definitely overthinking it. "do i look okay? nothing looks too out of sorts? god, we should just ditch, right?"
