Who's ready to get witchy? 🙋🙋🙋 I'm finally done with the ribbing on this Half Moon Tee (pattern by @dragon_hoard_yarn)! I'll be binding off the bottom during tonight's YouTube live stream (starting at 8pm BST, the same as every week). 🌙 Today I spent a couple hours rearranging some #yarn storage, and HOLY HECK I should have done this YEARS ago. Of course then I had to spend time cleaning the mess, screaming into the void, and marveling at my genius. 🌙 While I was doing...all that...I was watching some YouTube videos in the background, namely DIY videos on bookshelf inserts (check some out on Etsy they're COOL AS HELL) and galaxy resin dice, and I'm proud to say I've resisted impulse buying £789 worth of craft supplies. 🌙 ...so far, anyway. Anyone else seriously struggling with #yarn mojo?? 🙋🙋🙋 ❌ I pulled out this #wip today to steal the needles out of it. It's an Alaska hat I've started THREE times because I'm being impossibly picky about the colours. But here looking at it after months hiding in a project bag, I'm wondering if I'll ever find the right yarn for it. 🤔 ❌ I did a lot of deadline #knitting over the weekend (shhh it's a secret) but it didn't spark joy, probably because I was fighting with it. Where is a project that will spark joy? ❌ A hell of a lot of this is probably related to how Ravelry is basically throwing their hands up at making their redesign accessible. They made a post on their blog saying they'd try, and then not even 24 hours later family members of Rav staff are dispatched on Twitter to harass people asking for accessibility and inclusion. I don't even know what to say anymore, but I do know that browsing the site gives me a migraine. They might think I'm a liar, and that's fine I guess, but I know my own mind. All of us do. What would we even have to gain by lying? ❌ Well that turned into a novel... anyway tell me what you're #knitting and if I should check out the pattern. We're playing the new Sims #knitting expansion on YouTube tonight from 8pm London time. 💥 Yup I've been quiet again. Deadlines, plus a virtual convention taking place 11 time zones away means I've basically been a nocturnal gremlin this week. I have a lot of Thoughts about what's going on with Ravelry but they're not cohesive yet, and I feel like a lot is still coming to light. Hmm. 💥 There are some cool new things coming verrrrrry soon for Gamercrafting, but this week we closed our Etsy shop for good. They've had one too many major financial glitches, and I'm not comfortable putting my livelihood in the hands of a multi national corporation who can't manage to stop screwing people over. What are you up to? Bank holiday: sorted. I'm working on my sleeves because I'm hell-bent on getting it done in time to wear it LOADS this autumn. 🍁 I'll be #knitting for awhile, then back to working on the print and ebook layout for book 2 of the Cricket Chronicles (check @ryannfletcherwrites for more on that).
