Tbh I did watch some but it was so long ago that I literally cannot remember a thing, which was why the whole trauma/existencial crisis got me unprepared. (Then my brain was "right, it's Gundam, how dare I forget..."). On that note, do you have any guesses or expectations for what/who Suletta is/how come she not dead yet?

They're from the book this is how you lose the time war. you should read it! it rewrote my brain chemistry. I can't say much because I don't want to spoil anything, but there's time-travel shenanigans, sapphics, the most beautiful prose you'll ever read in your life, and it's a quick read, too! I finished it in one day.

Funnily enough I just finished camp cretaceous. Yeah, the 4th season was the less engaging, but I guess necessary for the 5th. And it was...good? Like I didn't expect to enjoy it so much. I especially liked they actually explore all the interacteions in the group at some point. Not always sticking with the "pairs" necessarily, but at different points having conversations between all of them. And ngl baby dinasours are always a plus.

Yes, I'm so glad! s4 is definitely a lower point for sure, though I don't think I dislike it at all. The character writing throughout the entire show is fantastic and I'm super glad you mentioned how flexible the show is with the groups of kids, it's really well done and doesn't at all feel like it's three pairs who just happen to hang out with each other. They're all genuinely friends.

(1/2) I gotta admit I thought Touch the sky it was Weiss's. Because Atlas, and honestly anything with mirror in the lyrics kinda makes me do the connection XD But also, it always sounded not exactly right? Like the mood was “I’m past this” and she was still in conflict. Which made me think it was for everyone? Like, going back to that feeling in Beacon, having overcome the difficulties in getting there and being in the “new normal”. But still, it felt like more, but couldn't pinpoint what it was

I can definitely understand the Weiss hang-up, because mirrors have always been associated with her lyrics, BUT... the context for this song lives in the buildup right before it appears in the show.

With this shot. Literally happening about ten seconds before Touch the Sky starts playing for the first time, with the first lyric that you hear being "I looked in the mirror".

You're right that for Weiss, it wouldn't be well-timed. She's still extremely unsure about being in Atlas, and that doesn't change until the middle of the next episode when she tells off her father. But for Blake, without the constant threat of Adam anymore, this is suddenly the freest she's been in a very long time.

Oh HELL yeah I love to hear it. I will easily admit that s4 of Camp Cretaceous isn't my fav, but s5 is fantastic and that's just a solid show in general. I need to rewatch it sometime.
