Question Time!

1. Favourite childhood game? Oy. That's a good question. I'm going to go unconventional here (and show my inner nerd) and say the original Gameboy. I used to steal that thing from my older brother all the time until one day it was unofficially mine. I am the proud queen of Mario Six Golden Coins.
2. Your best moment from last year? Procuring a job at City Hall where I live. Yes, I'm one of those people. When I applied I had no expectation of actually getting it, so imagine my surprise and pleasure when I did. It's the perfect position for me in so many ways, and I really enjoy office work. Wait, what?
3. A moment or person that changed your life in some way? Hmmm. I tend to be an easily inspired person, so this happens pretty frequently. But I would probably say my brother. I look up to him in a lot of ways, and he helped shape many of my passions and interests. I respect him for being so level-headed all the time, and showing his caring in that quiet, big brother way.
4. Has the internet and the people on it had more of an affect on you than you thought it would? Yes. In a word: Tumblr.
5. If you could go back to your childhood and live through some of those days again, would you? Probably not, mainly because I am happy with where I am in life. Of course, there might a few odds and ends I would enjoy rehashing, but overall those experiences shaped me into the person I am today. (Poetic, aren't I?)
6. Best piece of advice you could give your childhood self? "Nobody cares about that pimple on your face as much as you do." I heard a comedian say that awhile back, and it always stuck with me. So anytime I get self-conscious or nervous I remember that. I'm making a bigger deal of my insecurities than anyone else is.
7. One moment from a fandom you wish you could change? Firefly being cancelled after one season. It still hurts.
8. Something you wish people knew about you or recognised in you? Hmmm...I have a knack for English, and I've begun being a bit more vocal about writing fanfiction myself. However, I'm not very good at putting stock in my own abilities, so I have a hard time "advertising" so to speak. So there are times I wish other people knew that about me. But I'm also perfectly content reading other beautiful people's work and hanging back in the shadows. :)
9. Someone that makes you happy, in real life or online. Pretty much all my followers (suck-up, I know). But also ghostella. She's my sister soul mate. :)
10. The best advice you can give to anyone reading this? You are loved. I see far too many posts on this site about people criticizing themselves in some way, shape or form. Too many textposts talking about how insignificant they are in the world, the grand scheme of life. More than anything, I wish I could tell those people that isn't true. Tell them the notes aren't deserved. Tell them that great things have small beginnings.
