Sherlock had a veil over his face as he was brought to his new home. He would marry King Lestrade. Mycroft had struck a deal with him, it was only going to happen if Mycroft traded his young virgin brother to the king. Sherlock wouldn’t see him till after the contract was signed and it was time to consumate. He’d never been told about sex so didn’t know what to expect.

He said nothing as Mycroft signed for him and gave his hand to a stranger.

I’m reading it as something similar to an aesthetic board - which is how I”ll be using it for now.
