He laughed and curled into her arms.
“Well my boys…what do we want to do then before bed time?” She asked while looking at both Sherlock and Mycroft.
“We could play a game?” Sherlock offered, “I never really did those since I was a child.”
“Oh what a wonderful idea love! Any specific games you’ve always wanted to play?” Christine asked. Now that she and Sherlock had confessed their feelings for one another, she couldn’t help but feel even more endeared and affectionate towards him. She’d be careful of course, as she didn’t want to overwhelm the sweet guy. But she knew he was touch starved as well and took any opportunity she could to hug and cuddle him.
He smiled looking at Mycroft grinning. “We used to play Operation Mycroft is terrible at it!” Mycroft rolled his eyes laughing but nodded.
Christine snorted at his words and nodded. “Oooh I haven’t played that game in forever. But I think I still have mine from when I was younger.” She quickly got up and went to look for the game. When she finally found it, she brought it back with a huge grin on her face. “Alright..who’s ready to lose?”
Both brothers grinned. “Why don’t we go back to the couch? I’ll put Sherlock on the couch and Ember can help him?” Mycroft offered.
“Sounds good to me!” Christine agreed while setting up the game on the table and making sure Sherlock was comfortable.
Mycroft carefully lifted his brother up setting him down so he was comfortable.
“Alright. Who wants to go first?”
Mycroft went first but hit the sides making the buzzer go off, he handed the tweezers to Sherlock to carefully try.
“You can do it Sherlock, I believe in you!” Christine cheered him on, throughly enjoying this time with the two men.
He grinned carefully pulling the bone out setting it down handing it to Christine, “your turn you can do it!”
“That’s right! I can! I’m a doctor-I’m a surgeon-” She kept saying confidently to herself. “I’m experienced, I’m a professional, I am—SHIT…” She murmured as she hit the sides, causing the buzzer to go off.
Sherlock laughed as Mycroft picked up the tweezers again for his go, Ember came to play as well climbing on Christine’s lap.
Ember was a curious little thing. When she heard the buzzer go off, she crouched and growled adorably at the game that made the strange sound, causing Christine grin. “Now Ember, it’s only a game.” When the sides were hit again, she let out a little surprised “yip!” Before plopping down on top of the game as if to say, “I sit here…”
Sherlock fell back laughing watching his puppy. “Do you think she disapproves of the game?” He asked grinning.
Christine snorted and giggled, causing Mycroft to grin as well. “I think she does indeed. Her reaction is what I wish I could do anytime a dislikable politician opens their mouth.”
Sherlock gently lifted her off the game curling her into his arms. “Ember you can’t sit on the game!”
“Adorable little princess.” Christine chuckled while shaking her head. “It’s your then Sherlock darling.”
He smiled trying to carefully move the tweezers it was harder with Ember, he hit the sides as she whined.
Christine laughed and picked the puppy up in her arms, holding the little fluffy girl like a baby and smothering her with kisses and tummy rubs while the brothers took their turn. “Baby girl just loves attention…” Christine chuckled adoringly while booping the little dog’s nose.
She wagged her tail happily her mouth open playfully as she tried to nip at Christine’s hands tongue lolling out. “She’s a silly girl!” Sherlock laughed.
The trio continued to enjoy their game and each other. Time always flies when you’re having fun, and before they knew it, the day had morphed into night and it was time for dinner. “How are you feeling pain-wise, Sherlock?” Christine asked him as she picked up the phone to order some pizza.
He was curled up now wrapped in a blanket. “I think I would like another pain pill please” he said quietly.
“Coming right up sweetheart.” Christine kissed Sherlock’s forehead and went to get the pain pill for him. She hated seeing anyone suffer even in the smallest of ways, and was always relieved whenever she could help take their pain away.
“Here we are my dear.” She brought him water and his desired medication. “I wish I had healing powers and could completely get rid of your wound.”
He smiled, “I’m kind of finding it interesting watching it heal” he said quietly, “I’ve always found the body fascinating.”
“Oh really? Is that in any way related to your fascination with detection work?”
He nodded. “You can’t be a detective if you don’t know how a body works”

Teddy learning his targeting for school I apologise for the video I was doing it one handed but he’s touching a targeting stick (fly swat) and being treated for it.
