"They want MY spot?" Oh no. She's very angry now, look at her puffed cheeks! She's just gonna crawl up him like a spider monkey and sit right on his shoulders, trying to wrap her arms around his horns. "They're mine! No one else can sit on them. I wann'em all to myself!"

▲ it’s quiet. when the sun brings on a new day of unexpected adventures. when she knows she is s a f e within the makeshift bed she calls her own; away from prying hands of demons & shivers of spirits lurking. for now she calls it home; when she can roll over in her bed to face the back of the child who brings a smile to her face ( one she considers a sister ). sleepovers were fun! it was even better to wake up early, create a mess in the kitchen & scurry before the cook could even blame someone. a quick shift to roll over & to bump into the much sleeping Flower. & while they may of stayed up later than normal, there would be no sleeping in now - she was hungry! sitting up suddenly, she presses against the mattress to push her form up as leans over the smaller female, just enough to lean down some inches from her cheek. there was already a muffled giggle under her breath, & as if she were the alarm, ’— wake up!’ is exclaimed as she leans down to once kiss her sister’s cheek & twice blow against it where she knew Flower would just wake up screaming, ‘gross!’.
▲ no place for a child; no place for anyone. cold temperatures dropped when the sun had settled & darkness took them as if it were a blanket. breathing caused thick clouds of their breath to form in front of them, the tiniest of shivers running down her back from the bitter cold. it was no place for anyone & with temperatures threatening to drop lower, for the snow to build up so high they could barely push through it, she cannot help but to pull the child closer. an arm rests loosely around Flower’s shoulders, pulling her closer to her own form in an attempt for warmth. ‘just a few more miles –’ the herald calls back for the ( what felt like ) third time. why was camp so f a r? not like it would be WARM, not like the climates she is use to. with a sigh, she looks down to catch her sister’s gaze, she appears cold - very, they weren’t ready for this.
'just imagine those gross fire lookin’, burnt crisp lookin’ - demons!’ that’s what she was looking for. & with a forced smile, she leans down to press a kiss at top of flower’s head, before ruffling fingers through her hair, 'we’ll be warmer soon –’ hopefully.
▲ it had been w e e k s, or so it felt. or maybe it really had been weeks & she was just failing at keep track of time. body felt weaker than usual, freckled skin painted with dark colors of blues & purples - simple bruising from what missions bring. but now she could be at home, to relax & take a break from the whole 'saving the world’ business. & she had barely stepped foot in those large gates of skyhold, before she saw a familiar face running towards her. it was as if exhaustion wipes clean to invite a brighter grin. arms outstretch to welcome Flower & when she comes into them, Sera cannot help but to attempt to pick her up - she’s excited! this was her friend - family & she never knew when a 'i’ll be back’ might actually be her last. holding the girl tightly in her arms, she cannot help but to lean in to kiss her cheek. & when she hears Flower groaning in protest, Sera pulls back with one dramatic, 'mwah!’ of a noise, before setting her down.
▲'what’s wrong –?’ question comes first, though she does not need an invite to allow Flower to step into her room. pushing blankets aside, she invites the girl to come sit beside her. maybe it was emotions, stress ( do children stress? ) or something that she had seen. things were s c a r y sometimes & really no one needed to explain themselves, fear was fear - let it be. pulling the blanket around them, she leans back to rest against the nearing wall & wraps both arms around the smaller female. there was no words to be exchanged, nothing to be explained, maybe flower just needed someone there with her - it happens, sera understands. hand raises to brush some loose bangs aside from the child’s forehead, before she leans down to press one small kiss of reassurance to soft skin. & with a relaxed sigh, she rests her head comfortably against flower’s, avoiding growing horns of course.
'we can talk about it later, or never, yeah? we’ll be fine, I promise.’
▲ it was not fair - though ( as always said ) what was these days? she knew she was asked to make forth with the next mission & what was asked of her, she followed. flower wasn’t coming on this one, it had always ( seemed ) to be the smaller missions she came on. this one? a lot bigger - one step closer to end this fight. GOODBYES were never f u n however, no matter what positive spirit they may keep. in this world - everyone - knows one goodbye could be a last & there was no telling how to depict that. she’s crouched to rest at a proper level with flower ( of course till she grows even more ) & she’s tryin her hardest to stay positive, light with a brightened grin she is known for. i’ll return, she keeps saying, hand reaching down to take her sister’s into her own, fingers laced loosely - & when I do it’ll be games & jokes all over again. she would laugh, anything to keep flower smiling, even with your ugly nug; a joke that is accompanied with a groan from the child. but, it made her laugh, no? bringing flower’s hand to her lips, sera presses one kiss to the back of it, only to get one more disgusted look from flower.
