Keeping Austin Weird @ IMFCON-IFFS 2014
It’s so exciting to be back in Austin for IMFCON-IFFS. Last year I was here as a student, learning more about the industry and networking like a champ. This year, I am proud to say that Brainitch is back as the Official Bluetooth Solutions Provider!
Instead of being confined to a booth, we have representatives roaming the floors interacting with attendees. We also handcrafted a Scavenger Hunt incorporating the sponsors and Estimote beacons. iOS & Android.
Brainitch is a white label mobile solution provider. We work with a technology called Cordova that allows us to handcraft apps that can be deployed across multiple platforms faster and cheaper. We also work closely with a technology called Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), supplied to us by Estimote, the leader in BLE beacon technology and secure cloud computing. This allows us to spend more time working on our client’s problems and less on backend infrastructure.
We understand that safety is a primary concern, so we developed an emergency response system that’s baked into our white label platform.
Our emergency response system works off of all of the location services offered on smart phones: GPS, Wifi, & BLE. We are still testing our BLE mesh-networked response system, which is patent-pending, and will allow your attendees to still send an alert to the nearest responder even when there is low connectivity.
The system we offer today only works if your attendee has downloaded your branded app we developed. Inside this app there is an emergency “alert” button. When pressed, that user’s location will be sent to a nearby responder. The responder would have one of our alert receiving devices. Once the responder sees the location of the alert they can accept it and then communicate with the user while enroute. If the user needs additional assistance, such as a medic, the responder can radio it in.
Want to learn more? I’ll be speaking on a panel at IMFCON-IFFS in the Texas Ballroom 1 at the Hyatt Regency at 11:30am on Monday, the 8th.
Hope to see you there!
