My mother had a real-life enemies relationship with Seward Johnson because she waitressed at the restaurant that he hung out at with his group of pretentious artists and they all sucked. He might not have considered her an enemy but he didn't tip well.
All this to say, I think having a parasocial enemity toward Seward Johnson is justified.
Yeah, having written what is apparently the foremost criticism of his work on the internet, I get stories about him occasionally, and from all accounts he was a poser and a dickhead. Hearing that he also didn't tip well surprises me not at all.
