Imagine if Devyn works in a coffee shop, wears a white shirt and a black uniform vest and apron, and then meets MC to the store for afternoon tea. He is shy because he sees MC and has to go up to serve (what do you need to drink?) It must be very cute!! So can you draw this brain hole? I'm looking forward to it!!

What were your thoughts when coming up with your character designs? Why do they look that way, and does their looks represent their personality traits or characteristics? Also, what characters are they based off of?

My design process for my own OCs tends to be a bit random. When I know I'm going to have to draw things a lot, I try to draw things I personally enjoy. Though I do try my best to capture the essence of the character. Some are a lot easier to create than others.

Devyn was made very quickly, and I basically started with the sprite you see in the demo. I wanted him to look like a mix of innocent and suspicious. He's supposed to look a little disheveled, but I also wanted it to seem like he could have just got off of work too. I make a lot of early details in the designs and come up with reasons for them later. There is now a bit of a lore reason why Devyn has the appearance he does, but that is spoilers for the game!

Cole was a massive pain to design. It took me forever to figure out his sprite, and I'm still not satisfied with it. I drew maybe 4-5 different versions of him before going back to the third one and reworking it into what you see in the demo. My goal for Cole was simply "make him leading man handsome without being too generic" which is a lot harder than it seems! It became important to me that he was very strong but not intimidating. I also really want to make his sprite more expressive in the full version of FFFE >_<

Guy was an interesting design process because I waited so long to come up with his looks. Usually I start with the art first before writing for a character, but since Guy didn't need a sprite in the demo it happened the opposite way. I wanted his look to be edgy but having a carefree element too. Guy isn't trying to look scary, he's just trying to look unique. Despite his attitude sometimes, he doesn't actually want people to think he looks like a serial killer. I thought about Guy's looks for weeks before putting pen to paper. He originally had a lot more of an energetic look in my mind, but I thought it would be more fun for a guy who looks like =_= to send emoticons like this (>w<)b

I don't tend to think of any specific characters when designing. Though I do get inspired by looking at a lot of art, comics, and games! I also try to get inspiration from real life too.

This is just a small glimpse into my thoughts on their designs. If there are any other questions you want to know, feel free to ask! I'm not sure how helpful these answers were since my current process is so chaotic. I'd really like to push my character design more in the future u_u

Hihi!!! I just found out you have a tumblr and I'm so happy!!! I've been a big fan of IMI since 2023, it was the first yandere vn I played and I was obsessed with it!! Here's some old art of Devyn that I made back then,, I also have traditional art but I'll need to look for that later

Hello, I'm obsessed with your characters! I was wondering how each of the yandere boys would think of having an MC that liked to sing, but only sung in private. Not because they were insecure about their voice, but because they don't wanna constantly deal with people (especially them) asking them to sing every five minutes, lol?

Hmm… This is a very interesting question! These are sorta just my first initial thoughts.

Devyn would feel a little conflicted. He'd be relieved that MC doesn't share their voice with other people, but he'd be sad they didn't want to share it with him. He would never ask them to sing for him… He may listen in if he catches them when they think they are alone though >_>

Cole would be pretty chill about it at first. He knows firsthand what it's like for people to discover your skills/talents then ask you to prove yourself to them constantly. But since they do like singing, he'd want them to be able to enjoy their hobbies with him. Cole would see if they wanted to go private karaoke, he'd train his own voice to sing for MC too, or he'd try to show off his own talents to make them comfortable enough to do the same. And once Cole set his mind on this mission, it'd be very hard to throw him off.

Guy would probably be the most demanding. He sees skill/talent as something to be valued but also bartered with. It's just what he's used to. If he found out that not only could MC really sing but also refused to share it with him, everything would become "I'll do this if you sing for me" or "just one song and I'll treat you to your favorite food". He's probably MC's worst nightmare lol >_<

(Please forgive me for the randomness of this question...) Imagine the guys get a late night call from a panicked MC, crying about how they think they just hit someone with their car, the persons unresponsive, and they don't know what to do. How do they respond?

Don’t worry! I absolutely love random questions like this. It really makes me think hard about the characters. (Also, all of these answers would be assuming this is pretty early on in the guys knowing MC… for reasons)

Devyn is probably the most frazzled at first but is extremely ready to lock in as soon as the call ends. I don’t think he would be the best at comforting MC over the phone but he’d say “Whatever you need me to do, I’ll do it”.

He’d show up with a shovel and his largest duffel bag in the trunk of his car. Devyn’s first priority though is making sure MC is okay. He’d have them wait in his car while he checks on the person. As soon as he left their vision, all the fear would leave his expression. He’d try to be as efficient as possible to return to MC quickly!

Cole’s lawyer brain would immediately kick in, and he’d tell them they unfortunately have to leave the car and check the person’s vitals. He’d coach them through the whole thing and assure them that he’d handle the worst case scenario. His mind would be absolutely reeling at every legal option MC has if they really did hit someone. Cole (at this point in time) could not in good conscience tell MC to do something illegal and have it come back to bite them. He feels incredibly responsible for them.

What happens next really depends on what state the person is in… He’d be on his way while still on the call with them no matter what though. While Cole did not graduate himself, he has many amazing lawyers on speed dial!

Guy immediately stops MC and tells them everything will be okay. He asks for the exact location of where they are and tells them to keep on driving (if their car is damaged, Guy says to drive to his house). He says he’ll check it out and text them when he’s done. He has it handled!

Guy would meet MC afterwards and tell them the whole thing is taken care of, don’t worry :D

They are all extremely happy that MC called them in that moment of need (but order from most to least happy is Guy>Devyn>Cole). They all want to be the one MC depends on the most!
