Today I looked up foods that help reduce stress and broccoli was suggested in an article I found. I have always been a veggie lover, but I must admit I have lacked in eating healthy ever since I started my education at CSULA. I do eat as healthy as I possibly can but I know my eating habits are garbage compared to what it can and should be. In all honesty it’s been a month and two weeks into the fall semester and it’s kicking my ass. I’ve never felt the stress that I have been feeling recently; I’ve been looking into different ways of meditation other than my usual remedy(🍁💚). Ya girl tryna save some Benjamin’s. I even did yoga today and I never ever thought I would use my yoga mat again, especially since I feel I never have the time to do so. But I’m changing my habits for the better AND I don’t want to lose myself because I am feeling defeated at the moment(5 research papers and baby essays in between can take its toll). I’m rambling now so I’ll stop, but to whoever is out there getting there higher education on, YOU GOT THIS! Be mindful and always put your mental health first. Eat more broccoli, avocados, berries, and don’t resort to comfort foods just because it’s easier and convenient. Consider it... self-care. Ok I’m done, byyyyeeeeee. #just1moreyear #maybe #imightgoback #imightnot #classof2020 #cominginhot #bakedmybroccoliinsteadofmyself https://www.instagram.com/p/B3JCfS2Jkqy/?igshid=pznylya5jnhk
