OKAY PHOEBE??
The Final Problem [Spoilers]
I...I have so much to say.
Firstly, I never thought I could get so emotionally invested in characters. This episode was amazing. It brought out everybody’s priorities, and that was so good to watch. Twist after twist came out and ruptured my heart, and I loved it. Because it showed me good storytelling. It showed me a villain who was so, so evil, and nobody even knew she was coming. Euros is by far the best villain we ever had; She wasn’t even evil, just cold and unfeeling, destroyed.
Mrs Hudson was great (even though she wasn’t very present) eg.
“Would you like some tea?” “Thank you.” “The kettle’s over there” and and listening to rock music while vacuuming.
The whole episode clung to the sense of dread and anticipation like velcro, and brought the audience into the story so well. Sherlock’s practical joke was absolutely terrifying, but hilarious in the end, and it was just one example of how tension was built up and released periodically throughout the episode.
Mycroft. How do I describe Mycroft? This must be the most human he has ever appeared in this show, and I love it. I don’t like how we didn’t see him with Smallwood, but the fact that he got scared was brilliant. The way he tried to make it easier for Sherlock to shoot him got me crying, because everyone expects Mycroft to be against feeling, but suddenly, he’s revealed. He cares. He loves his brother and he doesn’t want Sherlock to make such a difficult decision. He also wants to save John. If they had killed him off, I don’t know what I would have done, because he is so pivotal for the development of the show.
Molly Hooper made me cry, and I wish they would have shown Sherlock apologizing, but I love how Sherlock’s priorities are shown in this sequence. He knows Molly might hate him forever, but at least she’ll be safe.
John is, well, John, and I think that’s the best thing ever.
Euros is terrifying, but I also greatly pity her, because she doesn’t understand sentiment, and I have a feeling that if Sherlock had been in her place he would have turned out just the same. Also, her experiments created so much suspense. I have no words.
REDBEARD. WOW. JUST. THAT WAS AMAZING. NO WORDS. IT WAS AMAZING.
Moriarty made me shout out loud more than once during the show due to his appearances. When he first appeared I was terrified. Only a few minutes after he arrived did a caption say “5 years later”. Thank God Moriarty didn’t come back.
Rosie is adorable, and I have come to terms with Mary’s death. I think John and Sherlock have too, and that makes me happy.
Also, KILLER CLOWNS? That is way more sadistic than Euros’ experiments.
Overall, BRILLIANT EPISODE, BBC.
EDIT: I almost forgot:
Mycroft about Euros: “This is family business (forgive my lack of the correct wording)
Sherlock about John:“That’s why he stays”
That’s when Mycroft realised how much John means to Sherlock.

A las 18:15 con Carmen Porter y en la Gran Vía y más tarde... de copas con las Teresas (Teresa Blanco y Teresa), que fueron TESTIGAS de la aparición de la Porter (con una falda amarilla) en la Gran Vía.
