Vogue - Madonna

“Vogue,” is a classic throwback song from Madonna’s 1990 album, I’m Breathless, which then appeared later in her Immaculate Collection and Celebration albums. This classic black and white video just oozes of nothing but fabulosity! The voguing, tuxedos and pants suits and sexy dance moves just give me so much life. Something about watching this music video and bumping this song, make me want to go out to a night club and start striking some bold poses of my own. My favorite part of the song is when Madonna does her spoken word piece towards the end, listing models, designers, and fashionistas in the mix. I always loved how Madonna gave platforms to people who may be ostracized for their dramatics and for who they are. It’s no wonder the LGBT community really embraced Madonna as an icon the way they did back in this time, if not still today. No go ahead and strike a pose on this throwback Thursday night with your fabulous self!
