In other words, faith without works is dead. You HAVE to take the steps to doing whatever it is you have asked Him for because He needs to see that you DO have faith that He’s going to work it out for you. Don’t sit there and say, “God’s going to bless me with a new home,” and you don’t try to clean up your credit, find out if you even qualify for a home, save up for the down payment AFTER you have researched the aforementioned things, etc. God is not a magician. He is the Alpha and the Omega; He is Divine Energy. He is Love. He wants to bless us, but we have to do our part in this relationship. We have to put in the work.
