A! B doesn't look quite as... lifelike? That's not it... but y'know...

I like A the best - you can still have plants and stuff sticking above the water in a real aquarium :)

You could always say that A isn't meant to be water in both levels. They have ones where you can look down into the water from above. So it's like an encased pool.
I ended up going with Option B though it was edited substantially (both lighting and colors) to make it look more seamless. I swear I didn’t do it to be contrary even though A was the more popular option! I really had my heart set on a 2 story tank (with water in both levels) and I just couldn’t reconcile my vision with the disconnect in Option A. I tried a lot of different things to try to get Option A to work but I’m happy with the final product.

A - I know in sims 2 we have a film we can put over windows to give it texture. Do you have something similiar in S3? A watery texture on the top window might help?
Wow! That would be super convenient but, as far as I have ever seen, nothing like that exists for TS3 unless I’ve missed it! If I have, someone quick, point me in the right direction!

*whispers* namascreations made the build objects bgc...
That’s great info, thanks! I won’t be using them in the actual world (since BGC items are a no-go on MTS which is where I intend to upload the finished world) but it will be a good option for people who want the same look and don’t mind going through and replacing the windows themselves.

I wonder if some people don't know that you can just go in and out of Build mode to make the OMSPs invisible again... I would rather use OMSPs since I can play around with a lot and rearrange things with less hassle.
Yeah, I understand what you mean. Honestly, I understand both sides of the scenario. I find OMSPs more convenient usually but the DBF has its own set of perks, particularly the tilt function so I’m glad I remembered it as an option!
