It is the vegetables like potato,Onion, Beans, Green Peas , Carrots , Cabbage and Cauliflower cooked in thin coconut milk absorbing the flavour of the vegetables into it .Also we add the spices like cardamom , cinnamon , clove , Star anice as dry spice and ginger , garlic , curry leaves and green chilly as fresh spice. The interesting thing about the stew is thick coconut milk and starch from the potato gives the right thickness to the stew. This dish is freshly made and consumed and so it best suits at home cooking to taste it at the best . The stew is garnished with roasted cashew and raisins too. Kerala Palappam is traditionally made from Rice flour , Toddy the fermented drink from the coconut , and grated coconut .
