Eli: The last few weeks had been rather rough on Eli. He thought he could handle the break up with Clare better than he did, but the reason why they broke up just continued to drill into his mind and remind him of how he meant nothing to her anymore while she still meant the world to him. He kept thinking about how long it had been going on and when Clare had stopped loving him and stopped loving to be with him. He remembered back to a phase where she would say no to hang out and wouldn’t stay long and even when she didn’t text him back. Every little thing got analyzed to the point where they thoughts only got him more and more depressed which ended with a bottle of pills, a black out and waking up at the hospital. Eli felt so alone even though he had his parents. But it wasn’t that kind of alone he felt. There was a hole inside him where Clare used to be, all their memories, but it was empty now and it killed him that he knew it wouldn’t be the same ever again. He was somehow surprised that Imogen had shown up at the hospital since she was the only one who really seemed to care except Adam. He loved her by his side though. The comfort and the soothing words where enough for Eli to calm down for a moment. Her suggestion to look after Eli was only great news for his parents since they agreed that it would be good for Eli to spend time with other people and friends. He had to admit that it probably would be good even though he just wanted to be all by himself. “Is everything ready?” he asked the nurse as agreements where made and things was packed. “Yes, you can go now.” She said with a friendly smile even though Eli knew that she couldn’t care less. “Thank you.” He said and walked out the door to Imogen who was patiently waiting for him. “You know you don’t have to do this right? We can still walk out the door together but in different directions.” He assured her since he was afraid of being a burden to her because the truth was that he never really trusted himself in situations like this one; he was afraid that he was going to snap and do something stupid that would scare her off and that was the last thing he wanted since she was everything he got right now.
