My pastor asked me to paint him a picture of people coming into the Throne Room of God in Heaven. He wanted me to depict them walking on a path that had been made for them with Jesus’ blood. He wanted to get across the idea that we don’t come to God through our own goodness but through the fact that Jesus already paid for our sins.
I know they are silly things to be proud of but this is A) the best crowd I’ve ever done in an illustration and B) I finally figured out how to control the paint when I spatter it. The trick to controlling the spatters is how close or far away you hold the paint brush while flicking the bristles. The light streaming out of the Throne Room is something I haven’t figured out how to paint yet so I cheated and did it digitally.
