1) “I dream about the forest, and creatures, and beauty. Things that you can’t find in everyday life. I dream about meeting elves and fairies and going to their realm, and being happy and free.”

2) “I don’t know. It get’s very confusing. I mostly feel trapped and scared, like there’s no way out. I feel like everyone’s eyes are on me. Like I can’t breathe and like I have no other options.”

3) “....I was 7 or 8.... It was late... I should have been asleep.... But something had woken me up in the night.... I left my room and crept downstairs, wanting to see if my parents were still awake. I was half way down the stairs when I head men talking. They sounded angry and they were yelling at my father. I didn’t know what I was thinking but I crept further down the stairs and saw them holding him in the air, a hand around his throat. He was pleading with them to stop. I slipped down the stairs and my father heard me fall. He told me to go back to bed but I didn’t listen. One of the men pulled a knife from somewhere and stabbed him. I noticed my mother then, because she screamed. They dropped my father and left the house. My mother ran to him, holding him and crying. I stood there for awhile, not moving, but rushed forward and threw myself on him, not quite understanding what was wrong. At some point an ambulance arrived and then things became a blur of the ride to the hospital and being there and my mother crying and me clinging to her and wanting to see my father.”
