Artist Of SPP Vol.8 Imogen Wilson
Before this interview, she asked me ‘what is the interview for?’. So I sent her some of the previous interviews, but the question also made me rethink the purpose of doing interviews. My answer came up soon. I want to know what the youthful artists from all over the world think about their lives, and how they think about Youth. I want people as many as possible to know about the artists I interview. I want everyone who has teenage dreams to know the other view of Youth. To make your life more colorful by sharing the interviews, this is the big purpose. And Imogen’s photographs are also my answer. The world she creates has the Youth that I want. The people in her photos seem sometimes reckless and sometimes dramatic. I felt kind of the vibe like that from Imogen herself, too. She said she taught photographs by herself. I thought like Is it even possible? Yes, it is possible. She’s got succeed by herself. I don’t say which going to a college or teaching by ourselves is better than the other. I am just impressed that she’s found and chosen the way to learn what she wants to do by herself.
Imogen belongs people who brings new wind to the world, people who can have the own one even without being inspired, as she said she’s not. She’s the new inspiration and her multi talents would be needed in another ways and another places more and more. She is curious about moving to somewhere new such as America or England, and also getting involved with films. Imogen would open a new door for teenagers.
