Headphones: Prologue

I woke up at around eight. The sun was bright, shining into my window. I groaned my muscles stiff from sleeping, as I slowly got out of bed. I quickly looked in the mirror and ran my fingers through my curly brown hair. Scuffing my feet on the carpet, I walked to the kitchen. "Good moring, Ali." my mom called. " Morning mom!" I sighed as I smiled at her. Sitting down to the table I sniffed, the air smelled, well, lets just say, clean. I love that smell. Mom sat my breakfast in front of me. I quickly ate and put on clothes. As I tugged on my converse, I grabbed my MP3 and my notebook. Ever since the third grade, I had written poems in that notebook, and wouldn't leave anywhere without it. Walking out the door, I shouted "Bye mom!! I'll be back later." without hesitation I started walking down the street and to the park. Once I got there, I found my favorite spot; a patch of grass under a maple tree. Slowly I sat down. Leaning my head against the trunk of the tree, I tucked my earbuds into my ears. I opened my notebook and began writing. As it was a nice day, many people were taking walks or playing with their dogs or children. I didn't like being around people. I wasn't going to pay attention to them. Not keeping track of the time, something got in the way of the sun. I slowly looked up to see a tall, curly haired boy. Tucking my hair behind my ears I lowered the sound of my music. "Hi." I said, looking back to the ground. "I'm Harry." he said, making it obvious that he wanted my attention. "And you are?" "Ali... I'm Ali." I sighed as I stared into his sparkly green eyes.

If I was your lover...

I would be your best friend. I would hold you when you cried and bake your favorite cookies when your feeling down. We would fan girl together and drink tea. Simple kisses would turn more heated, and I would then carry you to the bedroom to have my way with you. You would be my everything. I would hold you close, just happy you were mine. And maybe we wouldn't last forever, but that time we spent together will always hold a special place in my heart. Because no one would ever be the same as you.
