I have a personal headcanon that tells Link is mentally older than Sidon and more mature in certain things due how he’s constantly exposed to danger. Teaching Sidon how to be brave and face some situations with cold mind, useful once he becomes king. Still, inmature in other ways too.

I completely agree! In this sense, Link has been exposed to a lot more violence and war than Sidon is, and by extension has a lot of personal and emotional investment in keeping himself safe. He’s a warrior of Hyrule after all, a trusted fighter as an extension of Zelda’s hand, and is certainly mature in a lot of ways that Sidon would definitely need to learn as a leader since he himself hasn’t the same experiences to learn them.
