I was just explaining impeachment to a friend and I want to remind everyone of this. This isn’t a complete win, but a great step in the right direction. Please don’t stop paying attention now

Message one: To be fair I don’t think we ever talked about the nuances of impeachment. Hold on a sec I’ll explain.
Message two: Okay so. Basically impeachment means that he will be investigated publicly and there will be another senate trial. If he is found guilty on even one charge brought against him, he legally has to be removed from office
As it stands right now, he is still our acting president. The chance of him being removed is sketchy but then again we won here so maybe we can win again. As for him running again... he technically can if just impeached. Maybe even after being removed. It depends on the senate ruling. If it’s only impeachment he will be able to. If it’s impeachment and removal he will be able to. If he is removed and then also banned from running again, then obviously no. But all in all it’ll probably worsen his reelection chances
