The fatalism of trump takeover because of pence is real harmful because at this point its not so much about the two of them as individuals, but about the precedent set by the impeachment. Its a line in the sand that says to everyone who would look at it “you can go exactly this far before they get rid of you.”
LIke the thing is pence is a dangerous prick, but if we’re heading for impeachment the best choice is to do it sooner rather than later, because the more trump gets away with before impeachment the more freedom that Pence will have when it is his turn in power. The goal of impeaching Trump serves as much to get him out of office as it does to limit the power of his successor. The more trump gets away with, the more dangerous pence has the potential to be.
