Awahaha~! I don't exactly know how detailed these have to be, but perhaps some angst between Unicorn and Roguefort? Come up with whatever vibes with you but I just think that would be an interesting pair 👀
There has been a slowing in investigations and the search for Phantom Bleu. This was something that the thief knew for sure. No matter the case they had brought about, no matter how much evidence they left to spark interest, nothing seemed to bring back the news of 'Phantom Bleu Strikes Again!' and all the fun that was prompted by the subsequent research. With this in mind, Roguefort took to their own research. Just what had become of their little investigator, Walnut? What was distracting her? They had an answer, but...
The gates before them, though adorned in adorable sparkles and coated in a pastel aesthetic, were nothing but ominous to them. Such sweet decor was the cause of their little detective's absence in working? Something was off here, and they could feel tension well within themself as they climbed and practically tossed themself over the fencing and into... An... Amusement Park?
The place advertised itself as a place only for kids, aesthetically at least. Not only that, but seeing unsupervised children run about without any type of protection made them feel... Slightly uneasy. Despite not having a child themself, their nature to care for the little ones was getting to them. With a sigh, Roguefort composed themself as much as they could. Such sweetness was beginning to eat away at them like citrus and enamel, yet they couldn't let it get to them.
So help them, they were going to find out the source of such a distraction and bring Walnut back. Call it selfish, but they felt this was becoming borderline greedy for the little one to be devoting so much time to this... Place... That gave Roguefort more than a healthy amount of suspicion just by staying within it. They weren't sure how long it would take, but they'd round every corner, check every nook and cranny, and no doubt they would-
"What a troubled adult..." Roguefort jumped, hiding themself the gates that surrounded a nearby carousel. Curse this place for not having any adequate hiding places for them to zip behind should the need arise. Though, they supposed this was a risk that must have been taken, even if they were certainly regretting it now. That voice- It was gentle, but unnaturally so. "...Troubled," Roguefort repeated, finding themself having to force a smile to keep up their typical charming demeanor. Their stirring emotions were nothing but irritation, yet they forced themself to grin nonetheless. "I suppose you could call it that. What does it matter to you, dear?"
A giggle came from the other, and it was only then that Roguefort had mustered up enough effort away from their own thoughts to observe this mysterious fellow. A horn, flowing pastel hair, a cutesy cape with floating little butterflies to match their attire... They seemed like someone a part of this whole scheme. It was someone Roguefort wouldn't dare trust. "Oh come now, it matters most to me more than any other individual here..." A hand outstretched was met with a squint of scrutiny, "Allow me to remove those fears within you. Childhood wonder and sweet memories await you, you know."
A step forward brought forth mystic colors of delight. To Roguefort, there was a twinge in their heart that wished for them to say, yet- No. No, they weren't staying. The thief turned away, waving away the colors that were beginning to wrap their way around them like ribbons. "I am not interested, as much of a tempting offer you hand me. I am looking for someone special to me."
"The bronze child of mystery, you mean?"
Roguefort's head practically whipped around to face the being once more, one hand still trying to keep these strands of color from getting any closer to them. It didn't seem to be working, manifesting inner fear, but there was absolutely no chance they'd express this before... This being. "Where is she- Where is that little Walnut?" The teasing in their voice fell away, being replaced by a more interrogative tone. They were starting to sound like a bit of a detective themself, it seems.
A grin was given by the horned fellow, one that seemed joyous- dangerously so. The thief felt the colors begin to wrap around their wrist, immediately prompting a struggle that... Wasn't that successful. Roguefort was swift and nimble, but sheer strength was lacking. "Allow me to take you to her," that nauseatingly sweet voice rang painfully through Phantom Bleu's head, "once I make a few adjustments so that you may make memories with her here... And nowhere else."
