Chuuran mini comic au thingy where they kinda did but also didn’t date in the 4 years before soukoku’s reunion
drawing of femzai I made base off this bra I saw at kholes..... unsure if I should color or not....
kunikizai where dazai decide to leave to join the port mafia (for some reason) and kunikida begs him not to go. even after kneeling, grabbing his hands and telling him various reasons on why h should stay, dazai simply avoided looking at kunikida and said: "i had already made up my mind. plus, who are you to tell me not to join?"
right.
who was he.
an acquaintance?
a friend?
no.
a coworker. a coworker worried for his safety and mentality.
dazai's partner in work.
dazai's partner in work who he always annoyed.
his partner who eventually fell in love with him.
but alas, the other doesnt like him back.
why, you may ask? well it simply is because of dazai's other partner 'in work', chuuya nakahara, port mafia executive.
8 years, was it? compared to the 4-5 years of kunikida and dazai's companionship...
kunikida can never beat chuuya. he can never earn dazai's love.
is this for the best? dazai leaving the ada? for the port mafia?
... if he lets him go.... the next time he will probably meet him is when he becomes the next head of the ada.
he doesnt want to let go.
"let go of me, kunikida.." dazai spoke, his eyes glaring at the other. kunikida finally see dazai look at him but it was not the usual look dazai gives him. it's not the look he fell in love with. not the look he wanted. dazai was glaring at kunikida like he was about to kill him. 5 years down the drain..
...
.
.
.
kunikida let go and stood up.
"thank you for everything you did for the armed detective agency, osamu dazai," he bowed.
dazai ignored him and continued walking away.
kunikida looked at the man walking away from him one more time before walking away to another direction.
.
.
"..by the time i meet him again, i hope i've gotten over these mere feelings of mine."
"Since I won, you have to do one thing I ask like an obedient dog. Now what should I have you do?"
I think Dazai does care about people. he cared about Odasaku and Ango. he cares about the other members of the ADA. he cares about Chuuya. he doesn't want them to die, actively stepping in when necessary to keep them alive. he trusts them
but he's not going to say it out loud. because he knows certain people and organizations will exploit any perceived weaknesses. because saying he cares means he's acknowledging the hurt he'll leave behind if he's dead, either by his own hand or someone else. he doesn't say the words because he doesn't want to hurt them more than he already does
eHe- Dazai being Dazai-
Can't worry about someone killing your husband if you kill him first-
hes so pretty🥰🥰🥰
🌺 with the murder siblings, please, i keep making myself sad and i want them to be happy for once,
Yumeno goes to Dazai when they have nightmares. Dazai’s apartment is always locked. Even when he isn’t in it. But Q knows to bang on it until Dazai opens it, usually disheveled from either sleep or another suicide attempt.
This time, Chuuya opens the door. He gapes at Yumeno, before calling in “Oi, Dazai, your weird kid’s here for you.”
Weird kid, Q mouths distastefully.
Dazai shuffles out from somewhere inside the apartment. He’s wearing a shirt that’s the wrong size, hair messy and face a little flushed. “Hello, Q. Another nightmare?”
Q nods, holding tightly to their doll and stepping past Chuuya without brushing near him. In any case, Chuuya steps back at once.
Dazai bends down to lift them up, hauling them up surprisingly easily considering that Q is denser than they look and Dazai eats about as much as a small bird. Regardless, they bury their head in the crook of Dazai’s shoulder, trembling slightly.
No matter how terrifying the dreams Q gives others are, the ones they never share are scarier still. They don’t dare name the monsters when awake, but Dazai has heard them scream the name of every one and held them through it. Dazai knows their names, and it doesn’t frighten him at all. “Because you’re a demon yourself,” Q said one night, and closed their eyes in order to not notice the fleeting sad smile that crossed his face.
Chuuya is asking questions, demanding to know if this is a regular occurrence he should prepare for. Dazai answers them in the clipped, neat voice Q has come to associate with interrogations by Mori, and pats them clumsily on the arm. “Sleep, baby,” Dazai murmurs to them, before turning his attention back.
It’s warm in Dazai’s arms, and despite how skinny he is, he’s good at holding Q. They fall asleep to the sound of Chuuya and Dazai talking, and are well on their way to more pleasant dreams by the time Dazai lays them down in bed and pulls the sheets over them, leaning down to press a quick kiss to their forehead and whisper don’t let the bed bugs bite over them.
