It has a very interesting perspective describing the distance it takes our food to travel to our plates and the different aspects we must consider when purchasing local food. In the very beginning it mentions "Looks like a typical Canadian family dinner, but do you know how much of it is actually Canadian?" This commercial explores the fact that no country can be completely self-sufficient with the needs and wants of our current progressing society. This means that economies must consider importing and exporting of goods and services. Based on globalization101.org, at the current date no country can be self-sufficient without suffering a high cost and so countries rely on importing and exporting goods to satisfy domestic needs or wants.
