Ashfur Theory

So by now we’ve all guessed who the Imposter is in The Broken Code. It’s painfully obvious it’s Ashfur, but here’s something I noticed and haven’t seen anyone else point out. Remember when Imposter!Bramblestar sent Sparkpelt to fetch herbs at the abandoned Twoleg nest. We know that he had collected prey there to lure dogs there, so when he sent Spatkpelt he was trying to set her up. Does this tactic sound familiar? Well it’s the exact same method the original Tigerstar did to wipe out Thunderclan in the original arc. Remember how Tigerstar made a trail of fresh kill to lead the dog pack to Thunderclan? And what did he put at the end of the trail? A cat he’d kill to give the dogs a taste of cat blood. Who was that cat? Brindleface, none other than Ashfur’s mother. It’s interesting to think Ashfur would remember and duplicate the same method that got his mother killed to punish ‘codebreakers’.

I seriously doubt the Erins did that on purpose, but it’s a fun idea.
