cannot wait for improv this week. let me back in

going back in a mile-long tumblr post and reblogging it when its funniness gets to a peak is like editing an improv scene. to me.

I miss doing improv so much like now is not the time to start but I miss it

#improblems #it didn't help me get out of my head per se but I was at the most confident I've been in my life doing college improv #and I guess part of it is being cringefail on stage and it not mattering that much

so I'm watching some of the shadow and bone cast interviews since they're fun and I'm really finding myself just having a lot of fun watching Freddy Carter and I'm kind of wondering why, since the entire cast is a riot if I'm being honest, and then it hit me that his demeanor is exactly the kind of person I like to play across from in improv

#idk how well it actually worked in practice but I bounced off of more serious characters in scenes well #I. tried to be the more jokey funny type but while it wasn't always a flop there were always people who could do it better #improblems #snb tag

improv has made me a plague unto the inquisitor fandom bc I took my developing ability to be the one instigating relationship scenes and transplanted it onto star wars fanworks

How long have you been doing improv? It’s one of my favourite hobbies! 😁

a few years now? I haven’t done any professional workshops, but I practice fairly regularly, and though I’m a hobbyist, I feel pretty okay about my skills among other hobbyists.
