LM still in love with the plant’s lab and decided on two random solution out of the blue.
What is happening if we put the plant into the solution? We used 2 days to start learning about scientific method. Hypothesis, observation, conclusion, mess, and all the good stuff. So we had begun our journey in scientific journal compilation.
Making the solution.
Get ready and let’s go!
Items:
Two containers, transparent or milky, but have to be at least semi see through. Salt water solution about ½ saturation. (1:2 salt:water)
Vinegar sans water, total solution same with salt.
Different stalks preferably with less leaves.
Time tracker.
Papers for observation.
Microscope optional.
Source of light optional.
Use the reading material for labeling and observing aid.
Steps:
Pour different solutions in different containers.
Draw or write the position/arrangement of the experiment
Label in paper or on the experiment itself. Make a table to observe.
Write the hypotheses.
Put the same stalks in the two solution to compare.
Put the time tracker on.
Observe in intervals and write down the observation. Check it against the Hypotheses to draw conclusion.
Animate and discuss the conclusion. HAVE FUN!
Experiment’s set up and hypothesis.
Observation and conclusion
Two days results. Top was in vinegar solution, bottom was in salt solution.
