Aradia appreciation Sunday
Hi! I am a parent seeking guidance from the #actuallyautistic crowd. Please feel free to correct any harmful terms or language I use and, likewise, do not feel pressured to spend time/energy/spoons on helping me. I am seeking to be the best parent I can to my child and don't want to harm anyone else in the process.
I have a 4 year old (Born March 2018 for reference as this post ages) who has not been diagnosed yet but I am certain is on the autistism spectrum. I'm looking for guidance based on your own childhood.
What do you feel your parents did right? What do you wish they'd done differently? What did they do that stands out as their "heart being in the right place" but ultimately didn't work they way they (or you) wanted it to?
Basically, if you could tell a parent of another autistic child anything at all, what would it be?
I understand that it is not your job to educate me, and I expect nothing more than what you are willing to give. Thank you all in advance <3

!!! I think I found something that may be useful to many people here
"Ripple is a "panic button" that can send it's trigger message to any app that is a "panic responder". Such apps can do things like lock, disguise themselves, delete private data, send an emergency message, and more. It is meant for situations where there is time to react, but where users need to be sure it is not mistakenly set off."
I haven't personally used it so idk how it works but it seems like it works in tandem with other apps to, say, wipe your personal data or hide certain apps if you think someone is going to look through your devices. it can also just send emergency messages I believe? you're probably best off reading the description and trying it out if you think it could help you
Hello! If you’re someone who just came from Twitter or you’re simply interested in tumblr and you haven’t been scared off by the recent shit postings of hundreds of users desperately trying to keep drama out by scaring off any and all Twitter users the congratulations! I.. don’t know why you would come to this blog though.
I’m not going to uselessly rant about all the functions of tumblr and how tumblr etiquette works seeing as many others have already been doing so. Though I am in the middle of reblogging a bunch of posts akin to that and I will be putting it under the tag “#how to survive tumblr” so you can have an easier time searching for it.
If you didn’t know already, tags work as an easy way to section your posts (this can be better explained but it’s 4 am and I’m too lazy) allowing for people to click on your blog, click a tag and then see all the things you’ve posted under that tag.
I hope this will come in handy for those who don’t back down from the revival of old tumblr. But to those who are weak, this service is not for you. Return to where you once came pathetic Twittypet.
(If you’re seeing this and you aren’t a refugee, please don’t reblog unless you want to add useful information to the post for people who are new)
quick disclaimer btw, all of my '#𖥔 ݁ ˖𓂃. ݁:🐾˖ tagged uploads are not mine unless stated otherwise. just wanted to put this here. credit to rightful owners, of course. 🐾
