I vote that in 2016, we stop using the words "cultural appropriation" for every stupid little thing that "offends" you. I vote that instead of getting worked up over coloured coffee cups, or birthday cakes or whatever, we take that energy and focus it on something that actually matters like homelessness, world hunger, eradicating cancer, etc. We've all become so overly sensitive that we're sensitive yet desensitized. How is it that Starbucks deciding on using a plain red cup got more internet backlash than the fact that the US has had more mass shootings in 2015 than days in the year so far? Someone please tell me how enjoying a cup of tea, a yoga class, hanging a dream catcher offensive? How is enjoying another culture and wanting to incorporate it into your everyday life a bad thing?
