Part 7: Loveland Charity Event Series Finale

Completely lost in thought, she looked so peaceful, so innocent, his sight had fallen upon her lips. They glowed a soft creamy pink and were parted only just slightly, his cheeks began to burn. An instant desire to claim her lips as she laid there….

He was just staring at her, it was as though his body acted on its on doing, he kissed her. He closed his eyes and felt the sensation of soft warm lips on his own, stealthily pulling away just as quick as he went in. Not as stealthily as he thought though, his face was still right up in hers when she opened her eyes fluttering, his nose merely millimetres from hers.

*His brain exploded at this point*

“Uhm, heya! Sleep! My arm! Couch moved!!!” Kiro looked like a deer in headlights, and his face, bright red as a candy apple.

His breath was not as warm as the heat he was radiating, which tickled your skin. You couldn’t help but laugh, you also had no idea what he was on about. Sitting up, you then realised his arm had been trapped, you were now on the couch… It took a moment for you to take in your surroundings, Kiro quickly regained his composure and explained you had fallen asleep. He wouldn’t make eye contact with you when he spoke, his out-going personality gone and before you a somewhat off, bashful Kiro??

It was late, perhaps you over stayed your welcome and decided to get home. After an awkward goodbye and a sincere apology for falling asleep, you hopped into the cab you ordered and went home.

Meanwhile Kiro paced around his living room, “I kissed her, I kissed her!! Why did I do that!?” He was acting like a little boy who’d just had his first kiss.

You got home and texted Kiro, apologising again for keeping him and went to bed.

1 Day till Event

The sun was shining, and the tenth alarm you had set was going off. You were tired as usual but had a list of things to prepare for, so excitement was your motivation. Running through your checklist, you gave Lucien a call to double check the arrangements he had set for you.

The day flew by rather quickly, appointments made, transportation set, even paperwork you hadn’t been keen on overlooking was now completed. Turning in for an early night, not knowing just how emotionally chaotic tomorrow evening was going to be for you.

Loveland Charity Event

The hairdresser had just finished setting your curls to the side and helping you put in the hair accessory Victor had given you. Just as you were expressing your thanks, you caught sight of Lucien leaning against the wall behind you, staring at you through the mirror. It was the first time you had seen Lucien dressed up to this extent, and wearing such a devilish smile.

You got up from the dressing table and approached him, “Thank you for waiting, I think I’m all done now”

Lucien didn’t say anything to you at first but rather his eyes ravished you, “Fine feathers make a fine bird, don’t you think?” His words were soft, the edges of his mouth curving up, but the look in his eyes had you feeling quite flustered. He held his arm out to you waiting for you to link into, both making your way to the vehicle waiting outside to be escorted to the event.

When you arrived you stood in awe, the place was elegantly decorated and packed with people of varies backgrounds and styles. Lucien placed his hand on your back (you were wearing an open backed dress) the skin on skin contact had you instantly snapped back to reality. He guided you in and made your way to the open bar not too far from the entrance of the building. The bar itself had been surrounded by so many beautifully dressed people, one in particular instantly stood out to you.

Victor

He was leaning against the bar nursing his drink when you and Lucien approached. Not knowing whether you should say hello or not, you sort of just stared at him debating silently. Victor felt eyes upon him, you both made eye contact instantaneously, his face rather stunned.

Lucien was speaking to you when he glanced down and noticed something had caught your attention, or rather someone. Before he had time to whisk you away Victor had already approached you both.

“Evening” Victor did not take his eyes off of you, he then noticed something familiar sparkling in your hair, he smiled softly. “You’re wearing it tonight, I’m glad.”

Lucien chinned in aggressively, “Yes, what a good evening this indeed is.” The hand he had on your back pulling you in closer to his side.

Victor and Lucien now standing opposite of each other, no words spoken anymore. The music and atmosphere that was pleasant only moments ago, now beginning to shift.

The opening act tonight took stage and began to play his famous songs which featured in many famous films. This one specifically added to the ever so dramatic stand off before you. *Cursed by beauty*

You felt as though you were in a trance when a very chirpy voice sprang from nearby, followed by many other ladies standing on, OMG ITS KIRO!!

He more or less skipped over to you and the two men in a stare off, “Found you Miss Chips!?!” Linking into the other side of you that Lucien didn’t not occupy.

Lucien and Victor both shifting their glares to yet another opponent in tonight’s affairs. No words were spoken after, you didn’t know what to say or if you could even fathom any words out of your mouth. As the party raged on, you were stuck in this awkward silent triangle, things couldn’t get any worse you thought… But oh you thought wrong!

“Is everything alright MC?” A cool breeze kissed your skin as Gavin jumped into this already bewildered situation.

You found yourself stuck between a cross roads each man staring at the other, no one spoke… Looks that could kill, you closed your eyes trying to think of a solution to your predicament. In the back ground the violinist began to play a piece you recognised *I Need You Too Need Me* and in the moment of bliss you opened your eyes to speak out. What happened next surprised you!
