Week 6 Reading Response
As a student reading is important to obtain information in any subject. Whether you like to read or not you are going to have to do it to succeed. Me for and example I don't like to read or write I feel it is so time consuming, so I try to space out my reading for every class. I like to take notes while I read so I don't have to go back and read again if I have to use the information. In my notes I try to stay as neat as possible by splitting it up by chapters and highlighting any subtitles during the chapter. If I do it right this way of reading is really effective but it I get sloppy and lazy it becomes time consuming and not much gets done.
Based of chapter 4 in “Writing in Transit” I rhetorically read through “in-depth reading”. I tend to use this for any class readings because I feel its what helps me learn more efficient. I did this throughout high school so it is the most comfortable for me and its the tactic I tend to lean on.
The contents from chapter 4 and the video will help by reading strategies for the Lit Review assignment because I will think more about my sources with the CRAAP technique to make sure it is credible. Where in the past I wouldn’t worry to much about if it was out dated or credible. Also trying out different reading tactics might help me understand the material thoroughly.
