tyler had gone to the masquerade enchanted ball with his wife , gabriela . yet , they had separated momentarily while he left to get them drinks . the lockwolf took two of the champagne glasses that were offered by a waiter before he placed the champagne glass to his lips . " a masquerade ball while a killer is still out on the loose can't be a good idea . " he breathed , his inner thought brought to light .

Heath sat on the edge of the gardens, doing what he did best: watching. His careful eye followed party-goers as he sipped beer from a plastic cup while seated on a fallen log. He wasn't working, exactly, but he couldn't turn off the need to observe. Besides, he wasn't really an engage in the social scene type of guy himself, so the outskirts were where he felt most comfortable regardless.

He kept his eyes peeled for any suspicious behavior, on the look out for the demon he and Ingrid were tracking, and eyes open for any of his other ongoing case subjects. Even off from work, there was no such thing as just enjoying an outing.

Henrik had intended to enjoy the evening. He would be around his family and friends and enjoy the event -after all he was half caroline forbes and she loved a ball. But instead of taking part in dancing and some illegal drinking - he instead found himself confined to a bathroom trying to get blood out of his shirt. He had encounter charlie earlier on and his cousin had lost control and attacked Henrik again. As much as he hated the idea of hurting family, he knew he needed to in order to protect himself -a likely Mikealson curse.

As the water splashed on the white and red stained fabric, he swished it with his hand and tried to mask the scent if not remove the stain. He knew those whonwere triggered wolves or vampires in his family would pick the scent up easily and then he would have to explain what happened. "Come on, come on" he spoke to himself as he tried to rub harder, only moving his hand to pat it dry on a towel for a moment before bringing it to touch the dressing on his neck to check for fresh blood. Just as he started to rub the shirt again, he heard the handle click on the door and the realisation hit that he hadn't locked it. Turning on his heels he spoke. "It's not what it looks like".

nearly black hues scanned the venue as they mused of the fact that they were a devil in disguise . it was easy for the demon to move around the crowd as if they belonged . crowds formed around them wherever they stood , as he played on their human desires of pride , greed , lust , and envy , among other things . raymis was charming to the others but that illusion just hid his true face . what was underneath the mask and illusions , was that they were pure evil , but the fun kind of evil , they thought . " look , i double dog dare you to drink that whole chardonnay bottle . " granted it would probably kill the ready drunken person , with alcohol poison , but a win was a win , right ? he teased to themselves .

Kaya, mystified by the lights and the music and the gowns, floated amongst the crowd. While her mask did conceal her face, she was certain almost everyone could tell who she was. There wasn't much anonymity to these things, at least not as much as she'd hoped.

She'd hoped to have a good night, prayed even. But when she'd spotted the demon across the room, she'd nearly fled all the way home. Instead, she stopped at the bar. The anger that rose into her throat when she saw him was nearly too much to bear.

Throwing a hand up to signal the bartender, Kaya ordered two shots, both for herself. She finished the first before the bartender finished pouring the second, then ordered one more for good measure. If she were to survive this crowded party full of all the scariest people in town, she would do it with a little extra confidence.

Unfortunately, someone caught her in the act. Not that she tried to be sneaky in her shot-taking, but she preferred not to be seen drinking her feelings. "What?" Kaya snarled. "It's a party."

the redhead was still on edge after drinking from his father , damon . the limitation of blood was starting to get to him . he didn't want to feed on anyone else because he didn't want to hurt them , but that didn't changed the fact that his craving for the taste often danced on his tongue . however, andrew knew that his father would give him another hit before the night was done so he decided to think about something else for a change . " should we dance like we belong or ditch this place ? " andrew approached the other .

Upon arriving in New Orleans, Diana had stayed mostly under the radar, scoping out the townspeople and attempting to figure out where she best fit in. When she heard of the upcoming Solstice lighting, she knew she'd have to be in attendance. What better way to blend into society and meet new people? Perhaps she'd even meet other like-minded gossips such as herself. And of course, there would be so many lovely people for her to engage with and maybe even drink from.

She wound through the gardens with a drink in hand, staying a silent observer before coming to a standstill in front of the roaring fire. The flickering heat felt all-consuming. Taking a step back, she locked eyes with someone across the garden. Raising a glass in their direction, she offered a coy smile. The vampire was here to play, and it was game on.

It didn't take long for the duo to find one another. Kaya had pretty much been attached to Ingrid's hip since returning from hell. Being alone was, well, off the table, lest she go completely mad with anger. Being in the company of her friend made her feel leaps and bounds better. As soon as Kaya found Ingrid, she handed her a drink. "I need to tell you something," she said urgently, pulling her away from the other people she'd been talking to.

Once they were a good distance away from anyone with normal hearing capabilities, Kaya took a long sip of her beer, holding up a finger that said one moment. She wiped the back of her hand across her lips and looked at Ingrid once more. "It's bad, Ing. It's so bad. Theo and I kissed." She chewed on her bottom lip. "I don't know what I was thinking, I was just sad and he was being so nice and he was there."
