Kaine had been habitation he'll for the past six months. Previous to the journey, the youngest parker was probably the most timid of the bunch -but that didn't mean he had no menace about him-after all he was still kai and katherine's son. But coming back to new Orleans was a different kaine. One with less emotions for others and more want of vengeance. Seeing all those gathering at the cemetery to remember those lost were rather pathetic to kaine now. He had used this as his moment for revelations that he was back and even his family would be surprised. He looked around before spotting a face looking at him. "Yes it is me... although why I am indulging in such a pointless exercise is unknown to me." He admitted.

"if  it  were  bennett  blood,  you  would  have  felt  it,  just  as  i  would  have,"  bonnie  countered,  her  voice  steady  as  she  sipped  her  tea,  the  warmth  doing  little  to  chase  away  the  chill  that  settled  deep  within  her  bones.  her  gaze  shifted  to  her  son,  a  fleeting  comfort  in  his  presence,  especially  now,  with  so  many  vanishing  into  the  unknown,  and  shadows  of  doubt  lingering  over  who—or  what—was  behind  it  all.  but  even  proximity  offered  no  real  guarantee  of  safety.  not  in  their  world,  where  the  supernatural  danced  on  the  edge  of  reason,  too  many  pieces  in  motion,  none  of  them  aligning.

taking  a  seat  across  from  ben,  bonnie  reached  out,  her  fingers  wrapping  around  his  in  a  gentle  but  firm  hold,  seeking  to  anchor  them  both  amidst  the  uncertainty.  "and  you're  sure  you  haven't  heard  from  your  father?"  she  asked,  her  voice  softer  now,  the  weight of  concern  pressing  down  on  her.  they  had  ventured  off  together,  ben  and  enzo,  to  retrieve  artifacts  bonnie  wanted  sealed  away,  far  from  prying  hands.  it  was  supposed  to  be  a  simple  task.  but  when  ben  returned  alone,  her  heart  had  clenched  with  unease,  the  silence  stretching  too  long  for  comfort.  she  had  told  herself  it  was  just  taking  longer  than  expected,  that  enzo  was  being  cautious.

"i  should  have  gone  with  you  both.  sol  would  have  watched  the  shop,"  she  murmured,  the  guilt  heavy  in  her  chest,  each  word  laced  with  the  sting  of  regret.  how  many  times  had  she  faced  this?  the  fear  of  losing  someone  she  loved,  the  bitter  taste  of  helplessness as  it  all  slipped  through  her  fingers  once  again.  the  familiar  ache  settled  in  her  heart,  a  cruel  reminder  that  in  their  world,  nothing  was  ever  truly  safe.

Benson watched his mother as she spoke. He knew he could feel the use of their family magic. That's had been taught and instilled in him since he came into his powers. He never understood if it was just a valuable lesson bonnie wanted to teach or if it was a case of not wanting him used for something by another witch or coven. He was glad his mom was safe and he needed the check if his sisters were too but he assumed so as they hadn't been mentioned by his mom.

At the tactile response from the elder Ben etc, he sighed a little. "Mom...I haven't spoke to him...and... honestly I can't remember anything... I remember being here at home talking about those artefacts...and then waking up in some strange place on my own with a cut on my head and feeling so drained like I'd been using magic...a lot of it.." he admitted. "I wish I could say it wouldn't make a difference if you were with us mom... but I really don't know... you are way stronger than me... I dunno if dad saved me or if I was left..." he sighed trying his hardest to think but couldn't, looking away from his mom down to their hands. "I'm sorry, mom"

cole was in a quandary . indifference was his usual stance towards the disappearances , but the fact that his mother was among the missing complicated matters for the demon-siphoner . " the dead return , and now people are vanishing . . ' strange ' seems like an understatement , don't you think , gray ? " cole mused aloud . he had a habit of speaking his mind when in the presence of those he didn't despise , despite the grievances between their families . although cole was capable of being deceptive and calculative , he often considered grayson a genuine friend . " is there anyone missing that you know of ? " he inquired .

gray watched the male and shrugged. "You know... my mom is a doppelganger, dad is the brother of a doppelganger... we have the cure running in our blood...so strange is everything about my life" he started. He sighed a little watching the male. For them to be good friends even though their families had such a strained relationship was odd at least, but part of graysons reluctance to end their friendship was grayson own rebellion. "My aunt and uncle jer are missing... so it's seems to have affected a lot of us.." he sighed.

"It certainly is strange, which leads me to believe this might be even bigger than we thought before. Clearly who or what is doing this has enough magic to complete these spells and hide them." she mused. "I might need to send you in for that then." she smiled knowing he would have a much better time getting things from Klaus. "I just wish I knew what was going on, Stefan had some sort of clue."

aaron listened to his aunt. He knew that his family had seen some big magical adversaries in their long past. "Exactly... but how many families are able to harness such a big amount of power.... other than a siphoner.." he questioned. "Yeah...and I mean he could lose his temper on me and I wouldn't stay dead..." he teased. "What did Stefan say about it? I mean anything we know can't hurt" he pointed out.

Cami rolled her eyes as her brother pulled the cigarette from her lips. "Lets be honest, you were never good at sharing." she spoke remembering moments from their childhood. "What do you mean strange things?" she asked wondering if there was something in this town she was yet to find. "As long as you don't go missing next...cause I swear there will be hell to pay."

pj watched the female and chuckled. "Isn't that good for you...meant I never shared the beatings or burns from that father of ours? Or the shouting and screaming all the time.. other than after I left.. " he stated. Perhaps it wasn't something to joke about but that wasn't something pj shy'd from. "Well just people being here one day then disappearing... it's just strange don't you think?" Pj admitted. "People won't have me... I'd annoy them to quickly" he teased.

to say he was worried would have been an understatement , yet the former ripper didn't want to burden grayson with his concerns . a short sigh escaped his lips as his green eyes shifted towards his nephew . " how are you managing all of this ? " he inquired .

gray watched his uncle and sighed a little before shrugging. "I dunno... I mean uncle jer and sarah are missing but not our immediate family... but it's just strange... wondering if another wave of people are gonna disappear... or if mom or dad or you are gonna be next... "gray admitted.

Miranda's voice cut through the air like a blade, her words more of a growl than a question. “What’s so special about you?” she sneered, the disdain in her tone unmistakable. Did this idiot really think he could say something so twisted about people he didn’t even know? Her grip on the counter tightened, knuckles turning white as she glared at him. "Do yourself a favor, fresh meat—get out of here before I find you crumpled in some alleyway." She leaned in closer, eyes locked on his. "Watch your mouth and who you run it to. The walls have ears." She noted the attention they were drawing, other patrons now watching him with interest. With a smirk, she patted his shoulder, grabbing his food. “Can’t search for the lost on an empty stomach, after all.”

PJ watched the female and moved back a little nodded a little at her. He wasn't fazed by the woman's react. He knew that people would be taken back by his comments but he wasn't bothered by the reaction. His past had taught him to not take notice of things. "I'm quite happy here... don't think I'll bother leaving ." He pointed out. "And there isn't anything special about me... I learnt that a long time ago from my so called folks... but I'm also not going to sit here acting concerned about people I have no loyalties too... because they wouldn't be concerned about me" he stated.

Theo watched as the boy plopped down next to him, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly. “No idea, mate. My ma is looking into it though, I think,” he said casually, lighting a cigarette with practiced ease. As the boy took a drag, Theo couldn’t help but feel a mix of curiosity and irritation. “They should know by now that weird shit happens in this town,” the boy added, breathing in the smoke and letting it curl into the night air. Theo leaned back, considering the truth in those words as he observed the boy, wondering what other secrets this city held beneath its vibrant surface.

pj raised a brow as someone slipped into the seat near him. "Well I'm not saying people shouldn't look in to it... but some people are going all crazy over it when a load of people go missing all the time.." he stated. Pj raised an eyebrow and watched as the male lit his own cigarette. Pjs interest piqued at the words. "Oh really...and why does so much weird stuff go on in this town?" He questioned the other.

" well , we have to try something , " he exhaled , the frustration evident in his voice . the redhead was irked by how little the bennett male knew . despite his travels for hunts , he had always made it a point to stay connected , to keep tabs . that's what family does . it dawned on the redhead that if he was unaware of the missing people in the city , he might also be oblivious to his father's disappearance , too . " have you spoken to your mother recently ? " he inquired , hesitant to be the bearer of grim news . " about your father ? " he continued , completing his thought with a sense of urgency . " because he's missing as well , " he disclosed with concern .

Benson watched the red head and frowned. "I know but I've literally got up to town and heard it so much already... I don't know why they all think I would know something.." he admitted. He sighed at the mention of his mom and dad. "Yeah I've seen mom... but I have no idea about my dad... she said we went out to collect artifacts for her... but I don't remember anything except leaving town and then I woke up and was on my own in some random place." He aadmitted

"I've never seen something this magnitude before.." Davina mused as she continued her search. "Even with the hollow, it hadn't hidden itself as whatever magic has been touched by this strange occurrence." Davina couldn't figure out how something this powerful managed to stay hidden. "You know I wouldn't ask to use your blood Aaron, however getting your uncles grimoires might prove to be difficult."

"it's strange, usually I can sense a big surge in magic, especially something this big but it's nothing... there is no feeling in the air or anything like that." He started "and I haven't seen hope or aunt Freya about anything either.." he finished for a moment before laughing. "I know that...but if you need it, you just need to ask... to help the others... ibwpuld say hope or mom is pretty good at getting around him... but I can try to talk to him"

Camilla's eyes rolled as she listened to her older brother speak, ranting about the missing. Cami was concerned with only one, Cole's Mom. Swiftly, she pulled the lit cigarette from his mouth before deeply inhaling the smoke into hers. "One of them is Cole Parkers Mom dumbass." she spoke her eyes throwing daggers. Cami didn't have to say much about her relationship with Cole, she knew her brother had never been much of a fan. "Besides, we have lived here our whole lives and now something is happening...isn't that a little odd?"

PJ shrugged a shoulder before looking to the female as she inhaled his cigarette. "Not a fan of sharing these things any more" he admitted plucking the cigarette back. "And I'm pretty sure you remember what the parkers mother was like...she's fiesty she can look after her self.." he admitted. "Strange things have been going on for years with some of the families around here... so it's not that strange... other than the amount of people who have disappeared."

"lets say there is a lot more than met the eyes." eliya spoke, eyes watching the other for a moment before she took a sip of her drink. "and some of those people are people who i care about, so maybe think on the next word you are going to speak."

pj watched the female and a smirk crossed his lips. "Well we'll aren't you just as fiesty as your hair." He teased. "And it's such a shame you're involved in such a thing... maybe you should just let the police do their job and not get in their way.." he pointed out. He still wasn't going to pretend he was that affected. But then with his history it wasn't like much affected him any more.

" whatcha looking at ? " cole mused. he was certain that grayson's parents disapproved of their friendship , and for good reason . cole could be a devious person at times , which made most parents uneasy . yet , cole had always been loyal to his friends .

Grayson looked over the paper and then up to another as he spoke. "Co.." he started. "Just looking at this whole missing people thing... it's really strange.." he started before covering up the papers remembering his companies mother was one of the missing.

" i didn't mean to startle you . " he said , taking a breath before scanning the area for his brother . " how are you doing , grayson . . "is my damon or elena here ? " " he wondered about his nephew . " is damon ? " he asked , hoping his brother might have some answers about what was going on .

grayson glanced up to his uncle and shrugged a little. "It's fine... I don't startle to easily now... and I'm okay... just trying to find anything that could help uncle jer and aunt sarah.." he admitted. He shook his head. "No I've not seen them in a few days.." he admitted.
