Yeah... it is this exact reason that I have 2 old gaming rigs. You can usually pick them up for next to nothing. I have an old 486 with Windows 98 running on it since it had the last native MS-Dos system integrated in it..

Anyway, I could possibly go that route (hell, my dad's /currently-still-in-use/ WinXP rig could possibly be repurposed for that, if not for the fact that it's falling apart already), but there's two obstacles: Lack of money (aka lack of job, something that dad is still screaming my head off about), and that a VM is the only way to /record/ something in XP-or-earlier using OBS, which requires Vista or higher to run. That's the key point here, it's not just wanting to replay my pile of old games, but to record them for youtube.
...Though I think I just found the right drivers to enable "normal" graphics in Win98...
