@inazumakis sent : [ catch ] receiver starts to fall, so sender reaches out and catches them
SOMETIMES, THEY TEND TO WANDER OFF whenever their mind gets to them. they have obtained the habit to just ( ... ) walk off whenever they get too absorbed within theirthoughts. there is always never a specific destination in mind. they just go until their mind QUIETS down. until everything is silenced they remain trudging, venturing into places familiar and unfamiliar. it does not take long for them to find an end to their suffocating thoughts. slowly, they emerge back from everything that plagues their mind and it is only then that they find clarity. the place that they are in is dangerous but ultimately beautiful. it shows a clear view of the vast landscapes from below that they fail to factor in how close they appear to be at the edge of where they stand. there isn't any PROPER railings so they realize that they should be careful.
but alas, luck isn't something that they are always grazed with. a shuffle in the distance gets them wary, the lack of any COMPANY or notable people makes them draw out their bat just in case but they forget their SURROUNDINGS. a slip in their footing and they tumble back, heel failing to catch the end of the cliff and for a split second --- their heart drops. despondency gets them to a lot of places but they never quite thought that IDIOCY would get them killed. as their eyes widen, they brace for their fall.
a fall that NEVER comes. a hand catches ther own, warm and familiar. it keeps them from falling & as they look upon the face of their savior, they feel a strong sense of recognition. had mei grasped their hand before once upon a time ? a flash of recollection. memories that are not their own appear before their eyes but they ultimately do not get too hasty and instead, chooses to prioritize their safety before DIVULGING into questions. helping themselves up, they smile. " thank you, mei. "
