I grew up with incense sticks burning in the house regularly, dhoop, if you know it, distinctly Indian, smoky and rich. It usually set the tone - no matter what else was going on, it time to settle down and chill out. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Maybe that’s why this fall and winter, I’ve been pulled towards incense-based scents. They’re grounding and calming. @lushcosmetics Breath of God is a no-brainer. It’s smoky woods and incense but also lemony and earthy. It’s at once transportive and grounding and assertive. It definitely reminds me of Indian dhoop, but that’s because of the cade oil in it, which I normally don’t like but it has a bit of a garam masala quality that works here. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve had this little 10ml forever but I’m going through it pretty quickly, and then it’ll be time to upgrade to a real bottle. I’m thinking I’ll actually do a side-by-side wear and see how the two versions compare.
