@inceptionkitties I am introducing my kitties via haiku! This was a fun rabbit hole - I ended up reading the entire Wikipedia article about haiku and what other elements are traditionally present (aside from the syllables per line, which incidentally is just a suggestion, and you will note one of my lines has an extra syllable!). I didn't end up incorporating any seasonal words (kigo) into these haiku, but the second one does have a kireji, or cutting word. Somewhat untraditional, though, to put it in the first line rather than the middle or end. On to the haikus (and obligatory cat photos)!
