So I took my collection of #inchiechallenge2021 squares, shuffled them around, pulled out the ones that I didn't like or didn't seem to fit, and then made three new squares to take their place to create a more cohesive collection. Can you spot the new ones? (The second picture is the original 12) I also bumped up the blue a bit in my field of flowers because it just seemed to need more color! I think I'm going to frame these as a little ode to/first impressions of Fort Irwin. Of course then I have to find a place to put it, along with all of the rest of our pictures! 😂 A big thank you to @amymaricle for organizing and sharing inspiration for this totally doable art challenge, even amidst unpacking! So this was interesting. The last #inchiechallenge2021 prompt was DETAIL but when I took this tiny little landscape and started adding smaller lines I just ended up washing most of them out instead! Apparently details aren't my jam today, ha ha. And that's okay! Just a little simple SWIRLING for #inchiechallenge2021 day 11 from @amymaricle. We've been busy with more unpacking, a little furniture rearranging (which made my forearms sore!), shopping for MORE organizational type stuff (command strips for days), and we finally brought home a microwave, yay! I've had very little tea since we've been here because I'm too lazy to boil water on the stove apparently, and I also had frozen chicken in my salad last week because I was already halfway through making it when I remembered that there was no microwave in this place. Adventures! Tomorrow I get to assemble the shelving we bought for our closet so that hopefully we can get our sweaters off the bedroom floor. I think we might need a second one, though. But we'll see. For now, though? Time for me to put my feet up and watch some more Lord of the Rings!
