Am watching Stargate Atlantis and I like how in early season 3, when Richard Woolsey is investigating Elizabeth, he talks to Colonel Cadwell - who began his tenure at Atlantis incredibly antagonistic towards Elizabeth Weir and John Sheppard and very much disagreeing with their decisions on a fairly regular basis.
Colonel Cadwell, however, when Woolsey asks, does the military equivalent of 'what am I, a narc?' And I know part of it is just a giant F U to the IOA but I like to think he's also picking Atlantis as it is, and his faith in Elizabeth and John's leadership.
Also, as a Sparky shipper - I absolutely love John getting pissed on Elizabeth's behalf, the entire Elizaebth/John's 'are you defending my honor?' Flirting and him reluctantly agreeing not to punch Woolsey next time he sees him.
And then Woolsey lying on his IOA document because he thinks Elizabeth should stay in charge too.
