Alright, but you're going to hate the dare question... Ahem. Should One With Alchemy / One With Disguise be Out!Code or In!Code? (You might need to look them up)
I'm kind of familiar with what you're saying, but I’ve noticed that “in!code” and “out!code” can vary a lot depending on the fandom. I didn’t totally understand what you meant, and honestly, I’m not that great with these kinds of concepts yet—so there are probably a lot of mistakes in my thinking.
I’ll use the Undertale fandom as an example (I hope you're familiar with it). In this context, I understand in!code as "powers and knowledge that follow the rules of the universe," while out!code is more like "powers and knowledge that break or exist outside those rules."
So when you said "One with Alchemy," I interpreted it in two ways:
Spiritually – as in changing yourself from the inside, growing into a wiser, better person who’s connected to the world around them—kind of like Buddha. In a fantasy setting, this might translate to supernatural knowledge or abilities beyond the laws of that universe, which would make it out!code.
Practically – alchemy as ancient chemistry, transforming elements, which would be more grounded in the universe’s logic, so it would be in!code.
Because fandom codes are usually more supernatural and abstract, I’m guessing you meant it in the spiritual sense—making it more of an out!code thing. A good example of this would be Dust!Sans, who remembers resets and is aware of the player, which clearly breaks universe logic.
Now take "One with Disguise" – being anyone or anything. This could be both in!code and out!code, depending on how it’s used.
In an in!code sense, characters use disguises for practical reasons—like to stay hidden or protect themselves. For example:
Sans and Swap!Papyrus might be seen as judges, disguising their true strength or roles behind a lazy or goofy front.
Aliza disguised herself as a monster for protection (in some parts.
And maybe even Ink!Sans, who masks his soulless, emotionless nature behind cheerful behavior and paint—though I think only a few fans really know that part of his lore.
So overall, my answer is: "It depends." I can’t say for sure if what I wrote is 100% accurate. I’m still pretty new to the Undertale fandom—it’s only been a few months since I joined—and a lot of the research I did was years ago, back when I was younger and super curious about everything --- The time when I used to spend a few years researching astronomy, space science, and theories. But I couldn’t keep up with all the complex stuff at the time. After all I was 8 at that time
This was actually my first real ask like this, and it surprised me how much I had to say. Now I feel like a bit of a nerd—I'm not even sure how I should feel after typing all this out and realizing how much I’ve been thinking about it! Thank god that I no longer research or even think about these stuffs. I myself can't believe how nerd I was when I was younger. Hope this satisfies you and sadly this is not my vibe or style currently. God knows how managed myself to sound like I know it.
