Hello... My name is Chiaki Nanami, and I enjoy any and all games of every genre. I hope we can get along well... Forgive me in advance if I fall asleep during conversations.

What a smile… Hinata couldn’t help but smile a tad bit back. It was nice to make someone else smile through such a gesture.

"5 Hours is… nothing? Seriously? You might be a gamer but still… Take a break once in a while." Hinata stared in disbelief at the girl, and placed his hand on his forehead to show it as well.

Oh. Oh. He didn’t even introduce himself. Probably distracted by that smile. Goddammit.

"Ah. Sorry about that. Hinata Hajime. The new reserve course student. I’m not talented in anything but I look forward to studying with you," he paused. "As well as everyone else."

"Don’t worry about me, I can make more food or buy something later. You need to keep up your energy… It’s important, alright?"

Frowning at him, she tilted her head. "What do you mean 'not talented in anything Hinata-kun...? Just because you're a reserve student doesn't make you talentless....I think." 

She took a bite out of the ball. "...Thank you though. For giving this to me..."

"What’s… a ‘nintendog’?" she said, perking up at the mention of an animal. "Is it some odd videogame character again? A… pokeyman?"

Giggling she shook her head. "Ah... Pekoyama-san it's not a Pokemon character, no. It's a game in itself. It's all about looking after different kinds of dogs. I think you might like it."

"Gambling is more difficult than video games. In the latter, you can try again and again and again and fail as many times as you’d like. In gambling, there’s no ‘reset’ button. If you lose, you lose. It’s as simple as that."

"Hmm.Well I've never had to reset any of my games I don't think... Unless I wanted to play again and beat my score.. I can see where you're coming from I guess though.."

"How many gambling games have I won?" Celes set down her book, chuckling. "Nanami, that would be just like - no, that would be asking me how many gambling games I’ve ever played in my lifetime. I do not lose.”

"Oh. Right.. well it can't be that hard can it? Just like any game I've played I guess...?" Surely it can't be that hard, she's never lost a game before just stayed up endlessly completing them.

"Do you have anything else to say?" the gambler huffed.

"Hm..? Oh. No, I was just.. thinking I guess. Why? Did you have something to say?" Replied Nanami, they felt awkward just standing and not knowing what to do.

He stared in disbelief. She… really was lost in her own world. Not like that was a bad thing but… still.

"Nanami… Let me say right now that’s not a good thing losing time like that. I arrived here earlier at around 6, it’s currently 11:30. You’ve been around here playing games for… roughly 5 hours."

As unhealthy as it was, he couldn’t help but be in awe at dedication for such an activity, he himself could only wish for something as grand as that.

"I’ll guess you haven’t eaten at all for those 5 hours." The youth sighed and pulled out 2 rice balls and bottle of water from his bag.

"I’ve been saving these for after my study session, but that can wait. Eat these." He shoved them into her hands, disregarding whatever Nanami was holding and spoke with a bit of unruly and slightly awkward force.

Seeing the boys offering she smirked and nodded. "Ah.. Thank you. I do forget about eating sometimes.. But don't worry about me. 5 Hours is nothing. I've done much more before, I'm not a Super High School Level Gamer for nothing... I guess." 

She paused her game and placed down her device, taking his offering of rice balls and water. Smiling in appreciation the entire time. She hadn't experienced someone being so... weirdly nice.

"Are you sure you won't get hungry? We can share them... They are yours of course... By the way.. What's your name? You never said.."

"Whatever. I’ll fix it later. I probably put them in wrong this morning." Celes grumbled, talking to herself. "I really am glad that eye color is the only thing I have to fabricate."

"Hm. Well... I hope that it works out for you then I guess." Trailing off, Nanami stood awkwardly in front of Celes. Not wanting to say how eye colour wasn't really the only thing Celes fabricated, they stopped talking and just stared intently, not knowing whether to leave or keep talking.

Hinata had been all over the place today, starting in the morning. It was a day off, but he still had tons of homework to do. So for a few hours till about noon, he had dedicated himself to the math portion of his homework. Earlier, however, on his way to the library to do his math work, he noticed a girl about his age playing some sort… “Handheld” as they called it. She was dangerously close to the screen and she looked lost in her own world. However, he disregarded it and continued. He eventually finished his math work, and went the same way he had used to get to the library but… The girl was still there.

Hinata was concerned now. It had been roughly 5 hours since he woke up at 6 to get tons of work down, so that would mean… 11 o clock. Hinata saw this girl at about 6:30AM. She’d been playing whatever that was for about 5 and half hours.

Hinata lay his books down on a nearby table and approached the girl.

"Uh… Miss? Have you… By any chance had anything to eat today? I couldn’t help but notice you this morning and just now, but it looks like you haven’t moved an inch." He released a concerned sigh.

"You have to keep up your energy, you know. It’s bad for your health to be just glued to your whatever all day."

Having entered the school grounds early to get away and play her games, Nanami was enjoying just sitting and playing. It helped her think and stimulated her mind, keeping her calm. Not noticing the boy heading towards her, she kept on until a voice pulled her out of her bubble.

"Hm...? Oh. Hello. Sorry.. I didn't notice you there." She replied. Having not realised the boy was even there until he had initiated conversation, she felt rather disorientated. 

"Ah... it depends I guess... Do you have an idea of what the time might be...? Also. My name is Chiaki Nanami...there's no need to call me miss...I think."

"Wow, what brilliant deductions. While my drills may be real, my eyes aren’t naturally red.” Celes replied, blinking another few times. Damned contacts.

"I didn't mention anything about contact Celes-san. As sure as I am that you're eyes are naturally red that doesn't change the fact that something is bothering your eyes... A possible cause is that if you were to wear contacts then they might be too small or perhaps a bad type. Not that I'm saying you're eye colour is fake... You could be wearing prescription contacts for all I know. Or none at all...." Cursing to theirself for rambling on too long they stopped what they were saying and stared at Celes.

"Of course I’m okay." Celes snapped, blinking a few times. "It’s nothing."

"Hmph. It doesn't look like nothing though...Perhaps you have something in your eye?" Questioned Nanami, it was rather peculiar.

Celes smirked, nodding as she resisted the urge to rub her eyes. That wouldn’t end well, with contacts and whatnot. “I believe you’re correct.”

Smiling a little, they nodded. Pleased with the outcome of the conversation, if short. But then they noticed something on Celes. "Um.. Celes-san you're eyes are watering. Are you... ok?"
