What are the steps to file income tax return online ?
For e-filing income tax return online, the step by step instructions are to be followed. Basically, Incometaxindiaefiling process is hassle-free.
1. Login to e-filing income tax india website using your credentials in order - user ID, password, date of birth and captcha Go to e-file and click on ‘Prepare and submit ITR online’
2. Select the ITR form and the assessment year you wish to file. Fill in the required important details and click on ‘Submit’ button.
3. if applicable, upload Digital Signature certificate. Please make sure the DSC is linked with your e-filing. Click on ‘Submit’ button.
4. Once submitted successfully,the income tax return filed along with Digital Signature Certifcate, ITR-V will be displayed. To download ITR-V click on the link.
5. The ITR-V ( ITR Verfication) form is also sent to your registered e-mail ID.
Return filing process is not completed until you submit your ITR-V either online or offline.
