Dear James,
The end of Summer is fast approaching and I thought I should write you a letter to remind you that just because we’re not at school doesn’t mean you can slack of... just kidding, that isn’t the reason for this letter, and if it was I must be quite daft to think me telling you to study would have any affect on your actions what-so-ever. The true purpose of me mailing you is to ask if you’ve got any spare time in the few weeks left of break; I’ve been busy because my family went on a vacation... you wouldn’t know the joys of sitting in a hot car whilst your mother blasts fifties hits from the radio. After all, you’ve never been in a real muggle car, have you? The air conditioning (cold air that blows out of vents to keep the vehicle cool) busted half way through the trip and I thought I might not live to see my final year at Hogwarts. But, I survived the suffocating heat and have lived to tell my story, so I guess I can’t complain too much.
Anyways, I’ve got to go to Diagon Alley in a few days to pick up my school supplies, and if you’ve got time maybe you’d like to get a cup of tea? Let me know. P.S. I heard you’re Head Boy this coming year. Congratulations. I guess that means we’ll be seeing a lot of each other now, as I’ve been marked Head Girl... I just can’t seem to shake you, can I?
Sincerely, Lily.
