The sensible portion of Trip’s brain: Ooooh great there’s still some pecan pie in the galley! I’m gonna save it for tomorrow night so I’ve got somethin’ to look forward to gettin’ back to. The rest of his brain, namely the overwhelming majority: Shovel the pie into your mouth right now. Do it. Don’t resist. Don’t fight this, just put the damn thing in your face. The future is meaningless but the pecan pie is now.
